Yummy Snack Ideas The Whole Family Will Love

On hot summer days, there’s nothing better than a cold snack. Here are some fun, creative snacks your child will love preparing and devouring!

Frozen Grape Caterpillars

Push green grapes onto toothpicks, then use 2 dots of melted chocolate as eyes. Freeze for at least 1 hour for fun little caterpillar treats!

Fruit Cones

Fill small waffle cones with fresh fruit. Top with a dollop of whipped cream. A healthy alternative to ice cream cones, your family will love this sweet idea!

Banana Chocolate Popsicles.

Peel a banana and slice it into 1-inch sections. Push a popsicle stick into each section and place them on a cookie sheet. Freeze for 2 hours. Melt chocolate chips in a bowl and dip each banana popsicle into the chocolate.  Freeze for at least 1 more hour, then enjoy.

Ice Cream in a Bag

This sweet treat takes a bit more work, but it’s worth the reward! Place ½ cup heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and a couple drops of vanilla into a sealable plastic sandwich bag. In a separate gallon-sized bag, place cubed ice and ½ cup rock salt. Place the small bag inside the larger one. Add a bit more ice, and seal the large baggie with both the small baggie and ice inside. Use your hands to move the baggie around continuously. Check the ingredients occasionally to see if the mixture resembles ice cream. In about 25 minutes enjoy your own vanilla ice cream!
